Sparkling ink on white cartridge paper.
84 x 60cm
This work in a single colour ink (very dark grey with golden particles) was the very first in this series of works contemplating the camera bellows, nineteenth century imagery and its revival in the 1960s. This image is derived from a series of three-dimensional models also made towards my practice-based PhD research. The work is on white cartridge paper and the image sits low on a horizontal sheet.
I’m still quite surprised by how much the image seems to protrude from the page!
